My Dream/My Reality
This project first came to us through a friend working at an anti-trafficking charity who had a voiceover which was the story of a survivor of trafficking. He was looking for a visual treatment to give the sobering words a visual counterpart. Whilst we started out intending to make an animation, after developing a few different treatments we ended up evolving the idea into a live action film with an experimental twist to bring another dimension to the words being spoken.
We pulled together a local crew and we shot the film on 16mm over two days in summer 2010, with the post-production completed in 2011 ready for it’s premiere at the Bristol Encounters International Film Festival in November 2011.
